Sam is Ugandan and was brought up in a Christian family in Fort Portal in western Uganda. His wife Abby is British and grew up in a Christian family in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Sam and Abby got married in 2007, and are blessed with 2 daughters, Rachel and Rebecca who were born in November 2011 and November 2013 respectively.

The family began their service with MAF in Uganda in 2012 where Sam was first of all the Finance Manager and then Deputy Country Director for MAF Uganda. In 2014, the Bagumas moved to Chad where Sam was the Country Director for the MAF Chad Programme.

In 2019, the family moved back to Uganda for Sam to take on a new Regional Management role for the MAF programmes in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan.

As they work with MAF in East Africa, Sam and Abby are always looking for people committed to supporting them prayerfully, financially, or both. Could you be one of them?
